Compassionate conservatism
Michelle Malkin has discovered an interesting correlation. She's taken the Catalogue for Philanthropy's Generosity Index and added a little color—the colors red and blue, specifically—based on whether a state voted for Bush or Kerry in the 2004 election. The Generosity Index, by the way, ranks each state's Average Adjusted Gross Income (AAGI) and Average Itemized Charitable Contribution (AICD or AICC), then subtracts the second rank from the first to get a single number ranking, positive or negative, for each state.
The results are striking:
Unlike the charts currently making the Internet rounds that purport to show the relative I.Q. scores of the blue states and the red states, this one will be difficult to debunk.
