When I first heard this from the Obama ticket's "acknowledged foreign policy sage," I remember thinking, "Did I miss a memo? Did Hezbollah get kicked out of Lebanon at some point, and no one bothered to tell me?"

I went back and checked, and, no, I didn't miss anything. Joe was evidently just repeating something he'd picked up from one of the regulars over at Katie's Restaurant.

P.S. But at least the idea of a NATO peacekeeping force in Lebanon is something Barack and John Bolton can agree on.
